Week 9

 Before the last few classes, I was not familiar with the Al programs nor did I know how useful they can be if you learn how to use them correctly and in a smart way. In class, whenever we had to create on our own, before using any Al program, it took me a minute or two to think of how to put my thoughts together or honestly just coming up with thoughts on what to write about. I eventually came up with an idea, and I think, was able to write a decent story within the time frame given. I definitely had to use my critical thinking skills and think outside the box. I had to think harder than when I used the Al programs. I used Chat GPT to help create my storybook story. To me, it is amazing how quickly it can generate a story based off of a sentence of key words that you want in the story. I have learned how helpful this tool can be if you make your question somewhat detailed. Whenever, it generated a story, it was honestly pretty similar to what I had previously done on my own and it was a quicker way of getting the story. I also, think using this tool is relatively simple. I believe the Al programs could be used in the school setting as a teacher in a variety of ways. It is important to use them effectively, efficiently, and meaningfully. The Al programs as we learned this week can be used to create stories for children, as long as you create your own spin on them and don't just copy and paste, but if you need a little help the al programs can definitely help. They can help with lessoning planning and creating activities. Again, it is important not to just use it as a script, but it can help you to think of ideas or maybe expand on an idea you already had. They can also help with illustrations. If you need help with illustrations for worksheets, stories, activities, anything, the Al programs can help. Overall, the best way to utilize these programs as a college student and a human being, is to not rely on them, but to use them as a resource. Yes, they can help you expand on ideas, create ideas, and so on, but it is important to not just copy what they give you. Then you are not doing any of the work and simply relying on the internet. Then you are not giving yourself a chance to share your ideas and overall who you are. It is important that we expand on what the Al programs give us and use them only when we feel as if they are going to benefit us and not put us down for plagiarism.
